Frosh Tips

by thediaryofayoungman

Para sa mga incoming freshmen, ito ang formulated list ng tips para sa inyo. Lalo na sa mga clueless kung ano ang gagawin sa college.

  1. Huwag magtaas ng kamay sa first day ng classes, kasi baka ikaw ang tawagin para magpaphotocopy ng syllabus.
  2. Sa Engineering drawing class, huwag magdala ng color pencil at watercolor. Hindi ka MAS.
  3. Magdala ng 1/8 index card.
  4. Huwag kalimutan ng CM.
  5. Magsuot ng maayos at kumportableng damit.
  6. Makipagusap ka sa mga classmates mo, kasi kung hindi, wala kang kasama maglunch sa first day mo.
  7. Huwag papasok sa isang Math class na walang calculator, unless ikaw ay isang Mathematician, katulad ni Rene Descartes.
  8. Don’t be afraid to ask kung nasaan ang room mo. Mahirap na ang maligaw.

10 Reasons Why to Date a Mapuan

by thediaryofayoungman

    1. Because they are faced with Math equations almost everyday, Mapuans breathe and live Math and can solve your everyday Math problems.
    2. He/She won’t ditch you on a date since Mapuans are likely to be excited having dates, due to long term exposures to reports and deadlines.
    3. They are taught to live the core values of their institute, DECIR, which stands for Discipline, Excellence, Commitment, Integrity, and Relevance. So they have to be nice, at the very least.
    4. Staplers? Bond papers? Marker pens? You name it. Mapuans are always equipped with your daily school supplies since they are required by most professors to have these.
    5. Mapuans know by heart the definition of time management, which can’t be a bad thing.
    6. Mapuans always look at their best since it is for everyday that they have to wear civilian clothes to school.
    7. Mapuans can easily find those buttons in your calculator that you never knew existed.
    8. They know how to handle stress and strain in a relationship.
    9. The world does revolve around engineers. They choose the coordinate system.
    10. And lastly, Mapuans are not cocky like your ordinary university student.

5 Gifts that a Mapuan Wants to Receive this Christmas

  1. CLOTHES. Any piece of clothing will do. Due to the amount of academic work that a Mapuan faces daily, he/she never really had the time for shopping.
  2. CALCULATOR. Just be sure that it has all the mathematical functions that are vital for his/her Math subjects.
  3. ART MATERIALS. Inspiration of the student artist will be boosted 100%.
  4. MONEY. Christmas vacation means no allowance. No student wants to spend Christmas with no money.
  5. A GRADE OF THREE. Especially to those subjects, which are deemed to be impossible to pass.
